フロント（胸元）には、国立国会図書館に所蔵されている歴史的資料の書誌データ・学術アーカイブ情報を、落ち着いたチャコールグレーのタイポグラフィとして整然と配置。
バック（背中）には、幕末から明治にかけて活躍した「明治の写楽」こと豊原国周（とよはら くにかず）が描いた傑作『豪傑奇術競 児雷也 河原崎権之介』を大胆かつ洗練されたレイアウトで落とし込みました。

本作で描かれているのは、のちに「劇聖」と称され歌舞伎界の頂点に君臨した九代目市川團十郎の若き日の姿である八代目 河原崎権之介。当時、抜群の容姿と鋭い眼光で江戸の人々を熱狂させた彼が、蝦蟇の妖術を操る豪傑・児雷也を演じる力強い見得（みえ）の姿を捉えた作品です。
